| Daniels Family Pedigree | My name is William A. Daniels and this is my research into the Daniels Family history. The name was originally Daniel but when my great grandfather, William, immigrated to the U.S., his name was recorded as Daniels thus the creation of that branch of the family tree. The majority of the family came from Oldmeldrum, Scotland which is in the county of Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire as it was called then. I have exhausted the resources available on the internet but did manage to get back to the 1760's. Surnames in the immediate line include: Daniel, Bruce, Quiry, Laing, Moir, Martin, Brawley, and Mooney. Surnames by marriage include: Christie, Duthie and Ingram. I plan on making another trip to Scotland to search the old parish death records to move further back and also discover new surnames of the Daniels Family. Using DNA testing they can determine the relationships between men with the surname Daniel, Daniels, Dannel, Daniell, O'Daniel, McDaniel, etc. |
